Tracing Wittgenstein's hut_ Norway.
Tracing Wittgenstein's Hut was a project that fed into the event series of Manchester School of Architecture. This project was a collaboration between Manchester, Belin and Cambridge initiated & co-ordinated by Professor Harald. N Rostvik of Bergen School of Architecture and University of Stavanger.
Ludwig Wittgenstein's Hut played a significant role in the development of his philosophical thinking & was the site where he wrote his seminal works. The project began by developing initial proposals of how the hut could be reconstructed through the consideration of his key themes with the objective of questioning how we reconstruct significant lost spaces of contemporary thought. The initial event explored how the reconstruction of the hut should be approached physically and philosophically. It continued over a second year to further develop a programme alongside the Wittgenstein's Trust, investigating the possible reinstating of Wittgenstein's House.
